Orange supports the ecosystem of start-ups through investment funds
Orange Digital Ventures is Orange’s early-stage corporate investment vehicle. It was created in 2015.
Orange Digital Ventures has a budget of €20 million in its first year to invest in minority interests. We invest amounts of between €500,000 and €3 million in exchange for minority interests, with the capacity to participate in additional financing rounds. Our ambition is global and we strive to invest in startups regardless of their geographical area of origin. We rely on Orange’s presence internationally in order to guarantee the best possible expertise.
This fund facilitates the emergence of future leaders of the digital economy by providing funds at different stages of their development.
Orange created with Publicis, in March 2012, one of Europe’s leading venture capital investor in the digital economy by establishing a partnership with Iris Capital Management. Orange and Publicis Group have brought together 150 million euros to this initiative (75 million euros each one in the 3 to 5 years to come). In addition to this, Orange and Publicis have each one a 24.5% of stake in Iris.
